Q.
How can you offer your services at such a low cost?
Isn’t there a catch somewhere?
A. We don’t have
a “catch.” We can afford to offer our services
at such low rates because we’re a bank. Generally,
banks earn their money from deposits. To receive our
services with low fees, we ask that ministries keep
an active account with us with a minimum deposit. To
learn more, read
about the benefits of our "low
fee" policy.
Q. What is the denominational
affiliation of Good Shepherds Bank?
A. Good Shepherds Bank
is a bank and is not affiliated with any denomination
or religious organization. We are a division of RBC
Bank in Norcross, Georgia, a full-service
commercial bank.
Q. How long does it take to
get started using your services?
A. The time it takes to
begin using our services depends on which services you
plan on using. Overall, however, you should be able
to start using Good Shepherds Bank within 30 days of
moving your accounts to us.
Q. I’ve seen other services
offering online giving for churches. What makes Good
Shepherds Bank different?
A. First of all, we’re
a bank—not simply a payment service. We provide
all the services of a commercial bank. Also, we have
years of experience in e-banking solutions for various
industries.
Q. I don’t think our membership
will accept online giving. How can I persuade them?
A. First of all, many more
of your members than you realize may already pay their
bills online. Using Good Shepherds Bank may be an easy
step for them. Those who prefer giving during a worship
service can still use an empty, specially marked envelope
as a token of what they’ve given online. And for
all the checks that you receive in your offering, we
will provide check scanning equipment free of charge
so you can process them electronically.
We’ll also provide you with brief articles for
your church newsletter and bulletin inserts to teach
your membership about online giving and worship.
